The tuning phase covers all post-deployment activities. This includes adjustments to the application based on surveys, call log analysis, end-to-end call monitoring, and A/B testing. Application adjustments of interest to VUI designers include changes to the call flow, grammars, and the prompts and messages (Guinn, 2010).
